I am thrilled to announce this very special collaboration with Sarah from The Little Shed Flower Company, who will be joining us all the way from Canada. Together we will be hosting a one day workshop at my studio in the Kent Countryside.
Bloom and Burn x Little Shed Flower Company
Monday 4th April 2022
We will have a photographer with us during the day to capture your work and the images will be available for you to use on your social platforms and website. As an extra treat, Sarah’s partner Brian, chef and host of the Let's Talk About Chef podcast will be whipping up a delicious light lunch and we will end the day with a glass of fizz and a sweet treat. If that isn’t enough there will be a goodie bag for you to take home and one lucky attendee will win a beautiful Little Shed Flower Company Tool Belt which retails at £155.
All the flowers will be sourced from growers close to my studio and we will begin by making a bowl arrangement with pin frogs and chicken wire. After lunch we will learn how to make foam free meadow designs, perfect for pew ends, mantle pieces or ceremony backdrops. We will combine all of the designs into a beautiful tablescape which we can enjoy with a glass of fizz.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from two florists who have over 20 years combined experience in the industry. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and get advice, no topic is out of bounds!
Sarah has worked with flowers from the age of 15 and has her own Bricks and Mortar store in the city of Stratford two hours from Toronto. She specialises in large scale installation work for weddings, events and editorials. She has a half acre plot where she grows her own organic flowers that she sells in her shop and incorporates into her design work. A champion of sustainable practices, Sarah loves using locally grown flowers and ethically foraged foliage to create a wild and organic look.
